How To Draw Batman Part 2
By Loston Wallace
This is another tutorial on how to draw Batman. This page will focus on lighting consistency. When you first draw an image, you should have a clear idea of where the light is coming from. In this example, the light is coming from the right, so the shadows should be on the left side. You can see how Loston has gone through the entire figure, and made the lighting consistent. Also notice how the figure is outlined to separate it from the cape. The right arm casts a shadow on the cape. Finally, rather than the isolated shadow shapes in the original image, connecting the shadow shapes makes a more powerful image.
